can anyone please tell me which dvd format (DVD-R / DVD+R..etc) will play on any universal dvd player ? i mean what is the format of any original movie dvd ? is it dvd-r or dvd+r ? cheers all

sorry mate but i dont think i hav understood you...so do you mean a DVD-R will play on any universal dvd player ? whats bitsetting +R ? and how do i do that for a dvd to look as if its store bought...? cheers for help mate...Comment

in theory almost all newish players should play both formats ie dvd+dvd-but thats in theory.in reality most players prefer dvd+booktyped to dvd-rom.but even then there are players that will not play them.Comment
