    Burning Issues

The past 10 DVD's that I have burned, 2 of them will not play in my DVD players. If you put the burnt DVD back into my computer, it will play with no problem. I burned it with DVD Decrypter. Why I'm I having this problem?
    Thanks.

What brand of discs are you using?
What speed are they rated at and what speed did you burn them at?
What burning program did you use?
Is your firmware up to date?

I'm using Memorex DVD+R 8x. DVD Decrypter is burning them at the max speed. I just have a single layer burner. My firmware is up to date.

If it is getting burned on the DVD, but it can't be viewed by a DVD player.
Would that still be a inconsistent blank media problem?

                  Have you tried ImgBurn?

                  Also, try verifying the burns.

As well, run your burns through Ner0 CD Speed to check for quality and readability.

Do try Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens.

                  Check your DMA.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to www.pcx.com.au for their supply and great service.

                        Burner

I have a LiteOn SOHW-1693S burner. I do not have good results burning DVD+ media. I have freezing and skips. I have used Verbatim and Sony DVD+ 16 media at various burn speeds. Dash media burns fine.

I am thinking about purchasing a new burner, either a NEC or Benq. Would I have better results burning + media with either of these burners? Or is my burn problem something to do with my computer?

I found my problem. It was the Memorex blank media. All these years I haven't experience any problems with Memorex, until now. I don't now if it's just a bad batch of disks, or I just been lucky up to this point.

Thanks for all of your help.

extremely lucky, don't get a good dvd burner that scans and ever do a quality check on those old memorex disks, I did and reburned almost every one.
