    DVD+ or -

    so once and for all should we buy DVD + or - ?

    why did they inflict this on us?

    personal preference but most people prefer the + brand because they can be book typed so more players will play them.if your player plays both your a winner.

        I buy - format because my burner don't book type + media, all my
        stand alones love - ,,and most do.

                      ok please tell me what is book typeing? I personaly always used minus R disc and in approx 100plusbckups I thinks I have had only about 5 failures and some of those were due to a slow computer or power black out but overall I rarely have had any serious problems so I will stick with the minus discs

                            ok iam still conf***aled here As i stated i only use minus disc and never have had aproblem in my stand alone or my portablereading my "backed up discs" t6hey alwayt state what the movie is as if is an origonal pressed disc so what is so important about this book typing sweepe007

                              Changing booktype is important for some older standalones. Some players are locked in firmware to refuse reading any burned media. Changing booktype as ROM can make a burned disc appear as a pressed one, and these players will read these discs.
