DVD Writer Slow

I have a Plextor DVD Writer & I use Nero 7 Premium. For the past 7 days by burner's copy-to-hard drive speed has slow down dramatically.

933 MGHz
512 RAM

120 Gigs With usually 50 Gigs left of space.
I also removed all non essential software except the Nero and Office. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
