I'm not sure what it means that my thread was moved.
Anyway I reinstalled Nero 7 and tried to back up a movie with dvdshrink.
Again it couldn't burn a lead out after burning 100 %;
any help would be great

I am adding these links for reference only, do not act on them yet, especially before contacting your warranty support, these involve advanced dangerous
techniques and can render your drive useless(kill it).
1. contact HP about replacement of the drive if they don't have newer firmware for that toshiba drive and imgburn doesn't work(nero 7.0 is so iffy
we can't use it to verify anything)
2. if all else fails then you might try to change the drive to a toshiba and
get better firmware support
