Verbatim DL- problem!

Hi

I ventured into DL burning for the first time this week
Ive been burning SL for years with no problems using Shrink, Decrypter, Ripit4me , anydvd etc...
I also only ever use Verbatim discs
Anyway - my burner is an NEC 3530 with Liggys 3.07 firmware on it and I have set the booktype for DVD+DL as DVD-ROM
Im trying to backup a recent dvd I bought on DL - burned twice now and whenever I watch the backup it always starts freezing when it gets to the second layer! Whats going on - anyone got any ideas - My dvd player is a Denon DVD1400 and is about 3 years old and doesnt usually have any problems playing backups so it would surprise me if it is now

Am using the phot printable Verbatim +R DL 2.4x (burned at 2.4x in IMGBurn)
IMGBurn is showing booktype as DVD+R though even though I changed it to DVD-ROM in Binflash

What process did you use for this? You can use RipIt4Me in ISO mode then burn with ImgBurn.

Sounds like you didn't set the LB correctly in ImgBurn. Read the guide on the ImgBurn Forum.

In the meantime, read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

I am curious where you found the firmware for this burner. I see several firmware mods for the 3530, but no 3.07.

The 3.07 I see refers to a different burner. (3520)

Thanks for the replies so far - its the Davinci code Im trying to back up and I did use ripit4me in ISO mode to do it...

Im going to read the imgburn guide now to see what LB is (I probably should of done that before

dee's 2u5 has some strategy tweaks that work better on some 3520's but not others
