DMA-driver error, CRC error on Dual layer dvd

Hi, It's been awhile, here is my problem:

    1. I have a Lg gsa-4167b dual layer burner, with the current firmware of DL13.
    2. I bought Ritek Dual layer dvd blanks 2.4x. I tried burning of a back up of KING Kong at 7.88gb using dvd shrink, it's on my harddrive. I get error message 'DMA-DRIVER ERROR, CRC ERROR' I'm using nero 7.5.9.0 newest version. The funny thing is that when I placed a regular 4.7 blank in doesn't matter the brand it burns with no broblem. I've tested 2 blanks and they both come up with the same error message. Also i checked the system parameter on the first IDE and second IDE and made sure they both said 'dma availiable', I even uninstalled it so windows XP can reinstall it. Is it the disc or is it something Im not getting?

    thanks

Try using Ripit4me in ISO mode and burn with Imgburn using Verbatim blank media.

I avoid issues like this by using the aforementioned method. Then again you could have some more technical issues that require further assistance.. Post a burn log and Chewy or one of the other experts here could possibly help you further.. Good Luck.
