I/O error, please help

Hi

I am trying to rip my dvd Small Soldiers. I have followed the guide but when it gets to the end of burning the dvd with dvd decrypter it gives me an I/O error. Clicking retry doesn't help so my only option is to ignore. It finishes burning but the DVD wont play. Please tell me what could be going on and how I fix it. If you need to I can print screen the error and email it to you.

does the movie rip play from the hard drive ok after processing with shrink?

I tried to use imgburn. It finished burning but half way through playback it says this disk my have been damaged to prevent playback? im getting frustrated with this whole thing. I can send you the actual errors if you like.

if you save the imgburn log from the failed burn just copy and paste it into a reply

if not then just insert a blank in your burner and copy the right screen and post

I have attached the error messages, one that happens in decrypter and the other that happens after the burn when I try to play the disk.

The log would give more clues. Can I ask you how you ripped this dvd to your hard drive, what programs? The reason why I am asking is that even with older movies, I run them through RipIt4Me, create an ISO with Dvd Shrink & burn with ImgBurn. I just feel that it gives a cleaner rip.

it is more likely the movie is scratch if you can clean it good then rerip again if it is still not work, try ripit with movie only option and if it is still not work you need to buy a new one ( dvd)

like I said earlier I need to see the info in the right hand box from imgburn when you insert one of the blanks you are using with that lg burner

actually the mid code is all we need now

you could update your firmware to A114

but if the blanks are garbage that won't solve anything

saving a burn log from imgburn is the way to go tho

You were right. There was a thumb print on the original disk... I cleaned it and it worked. Thanks
