    Repeated playback issues....

I have been having problems lately with playback of my burnt dvd's. I am using dvd shrink and I reauthor all my discs. I take only the main movie, leaving off all menus and extras. 90% of the time the disc does not need to be compressed and in the 10% of the times it does, its usually less than 10-15% compression.

However, with the holidays I have been sitting around watching movies all week. I have noticed that some of these discs with freeze and skip forward periodically, or will freeze for a second and the sound and mouths don't line up.

I am using a very old playstation 2 as my dvd player and haven't been able to make any comparisions of those discs in a different dvd player so it is possible that the problem could be with the dvd player.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Nick

I played it on my computer and man they were flawless! So it would have to be my VERY old PS2 right?

On a side note, I had to download WINDVD for the disc to play on my laptop but its a trial version. Is there a program thats similar in quality that is shareware?

      Thanks,
      Nick
