    Nero's Killing Me

Need help. Just recently got a new Dell 9150 PC. I was using DVD Dcrypt, DVD Shrink and Nero with out issues. Now whenI try on the new box I receive write errors with every burn, Tried new and various media and no help. I have attached the error log and have searched the site for hours and can not figure it out. Anybody with some ideas, that would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

From what I have been reading it sounds like your Philips Burner is a rebadged BenQ DW1650 (lucky you)Maybe Chewy will confirm this and clue you in on how to cross flash it with the BQFlasher (Very simple task )

      Neros's Killing Me

      Thanks,

I will uninstall and reinstall after using the clean tool. I'll let you know the result.

      Chewy,

If you could comment on the flash upgrade/crossover that would be great. Could also give me an idea of what I can expect and future capability of performing the flash upgrade/crossover. I went and found the file (bcic.zip)from the Benq site for a DW1650. I have not been able to find the flash upgrade program yet though or how to perform the upgrade. Should I use the one I downloaded or somrthing elese?

since the computer is new and dell has a habit of shipping bad dvd burners
that don't work I wouldn't void the warranty on the dvd burner by crossflashing

that model should be a good burner but yours might be defective

                Chewy,

Thanks for the insight. Dell shipped me a new drive and whamo it works. Have another question for you though. With this being a DL burner does DVDD still work with it or do I need something elese? I Downloaded ImageBUrn but have yet to figure it out and ended up using shrink with nero on a single layer since it was small enough to fit, Anu sugestions you may or any body elese has please reply.

ImgBurn is Dvd Decrypter's burn engine updated, so if you used Dvd Decrypter to burn, you can use ImgBurn. IMO save as an ISO & burn with ImgBurn just the same as you would use Dvd Decrypter. Notice the emphasis on "burn". Nothing else is recquired for burning.
