    Burn Successfully, verification unsuccessful??

I have recently had a problem burning dvd's, it started with a new package of dvd's i picked up, i returned those discs and the new ones also don't work. The disc's are Sony, from Sam's Club/Wal-Mart. The log always shows that the burn was created successfully, but I am unable to playback the dvd, my computer and dvd player show that no info is on the disc, but i can see the data has been burned.

    #55 SPTI -1064 File SCSIPassThrough.cpp,
    CdRom0: SCSIStatus(x02)
    Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST) Sense Code: 0x21 Sense Qual: 0x00 CDB Data: 0x28 00 00 00
    Sense Area: 0x70 00 05 00
    Buffer x0909d0c0: Len x8000

This is the message i get when i tried to verify the data. Please help with any suggestions.

    welcome to the forum

first we need a log from something showing the firmware for your dvd burner and the mid code of the blanks

stick a blank in dvddecrypter or imgburn and bring the window up that shows this stuff or if you used nero to burn post the last burn log

see sticky at top of this forum

all searches lead me to this page for newer firmware but they call the drive a qsi?

        ad18
        yours is ad15

if you are still under warranty I would call dell, a lot of people had those replaced under warranty

        dell or whoever??????????????
