    BenQ bummer

Just received the following email regarding the BenQ 1650 I had ordered from BR7's link:

"We had to CANCEL your order because the product ordered is now on allocation and
not likely to be fulfilled soon as reported by our supplier. Please let us know
what your requirements are so we may help you find a suitable replacement. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope this have reached
you in a timely manner to minimize your trouble."

Oh well, at least I still have my LiteON....

Managed to find another vendor for the Benq 1650:

It's beige (prefer black), but it's a very good price, and appears to be "in stock". Hopefully they won't cancel as well.

If you can get one in beige, take it!

I wonder if they have updated recently, still says you can order 20 at a time, can't imagine them having that many sitting around.

        Good Luck!

Your right BR, the 1620 and the 1640 are burners, NOT the 1650!

            rosariorose9 I hope you didn't order one thinking it's a burner.

It WAS. Thank you all for pointing out my mistake. Fortunately I was able to cancel the order. Since the Benq 1650 came so highly recommended, it really sucks that Benq apparently makes a burner and a reader with the same number (maybe the letters which accompany the numbers are different...)

So, what benq burner am I actually supposed to order?
