Saw III errors...

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid DVD navigation structure. Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.

I tried using DVD Fab Decrypter but it does not respond to Saw III, however it does respond to all others.

Also tried using Ripit4Me but I get an error with that something about
VTS 99??

Would ImgBurn help me at all? If so, how do I use it, if I cannot get the movie loaded??

1. Get the new version of FixVTS and install it.
2. Launch FixVTS 1.6.0.3
3. Drag VTS_99_0.VOB onto the FixVTS screen and press cleanup. Do the same for VTS_99_1.VOB

I'm having errors with this silly movie as well...I'm going to try the suggested fix and report back

No luck on my end at all...I tried the blutach and smilingjack's ideas neither worked...maybe I'm destined not to back up this movie lol

If someone still has the ISO saved on their comp would you mind sending it to me or hosting it?

As well, I have edited my post - re-read the bit about the FixVTS cleanup.

Smilingjack's method should work so long as you have FixVTS 1.6.0.3

Blutach- I was not referring to anything pirated, I have Saw 3, I need to back it up...I used my .ISO for Invincible and that's the way I got it to work...I will try to clean up the other file you listed in your post and reply back with results. I do have the latest version of FixVTS, as I just downloaded it days ago.


I will also post the error message that I'm getting as well.

I'm running DVD Shrink right now, it usually gets down to about 2 min and some remaning when it's Analysing and I get an error message...I don't remember what it says...give me about 15 min and it should pop up...

P.S.- also I went to clean up 99_0 and it says pleas select a VOB file...for some reason it dosen't recognize it as one.

Again, please use the edit button if you are posting shortly instead of clogging up the thread with post after post after post.

Drag and drop any VOB from the rip onto FixVTS 1.6.0.3 and press Full DVD.

And asking this is against forum rules and laws in many countries:

Sorry. I ran full DVD again...DVD Shrink is running now...will post to see if I get error here in a few minutes when it's finished.

Open RipIt4Me and look in your preferences and see where your FixVTS is located. Now go to MY COMPUTER and navigate to that program and open it.

In the title bar, does it say FixVTS 1.6.0.3???

Next question, if you are running wizard mode, are you processing with FixVTS after running the clean-up? It is mandatory on this disk for it to work.

Your shrink errors say that you are using an old version of FixVTS

Yes, it does say 1.603...I'm completely positive of that

I don't fully understand the second question, I did exactly what Soup's directions say on the "rookie manual"...

I wish it were as simple as it was the wrong version, but I know for sure that's not the case, and I really want to back this DVD up...Thanks for your help, what's the next step?

Thanks Gary...I will let you know though I've used the program for 6 or 7 DVDs already, so I got it down O.K....I'm just trying to figure out why this one DVD is giving me problems.

I used DVDFABDEcrypter to rip the DVD into my hard drive.
Then using DVDSHRINK:Open File and find your folder you just burned to.
Back Up to a new file in your hard drive.
Using a burning program ( I have Power 2 Go (came w/ computer free by Cyberlink), burn onto DVD+R or -R.
The problem I think(not a computer geek here but...) is that once you rip it using DVDFABDecrypter, it is not commpressed, and DVDShrink will compress the file. Be sure however, to burn using DVD-ROM, or some of these DVD's may not work in Stand Alone DVD Players.
