    how do I burn a DVD+RW?

    hello

I have never had any luck with RW media (both CD-RW and DVD+RW)
Matter of fact I still have the 10 pack of CD-RW media I bought 7 years ago and the 5 pack of DVD+RW media I bought 3 years ago.

    I currently have a NEC 3550A 1.Y6
    Nero 6

can someone help me or direct me to a walk-through of how to work with RW media?? Everytime I burn on RW media, It does a 1 time Permanent burn (like R media) and I can even see the burn lines.

    anyhelp would be appreciated
    thanks

I just reinsert the disc and tell the program (ImgBurn) to erase it or I just overwrite it. I prefer erasing first as all the data is wiped from the RW.

Doesn't the burner finalize the disk?

I thought one could only re-format and reuse an R/W disk so long as it was not finalized. Perhaps I'm wrong because I've not had enough experience with them. I've been hesitant to use my R/W disks to make copies because I assumed I would not be able to re-write on them. Imgburn, DVDDecrypter and Shrink DVD all appear to finalize the disk as part of the copy process. Could you clarify? Thanks!
