    mp4 too big to burn

Here it is. I have a dvd-r with no chapters or lang options to uncheck, I used dvdfab plat. to convert to mp4 for Ipod. everything went well except that the finished product is 714mb, too large to burn to a cdr data disc. Reason for burning? I want to share the mp4 with my wife so im trying to dwnld the cdr to her laptop and then to her itunes library. Can I compress the mp4 anymore than fab has already.

714 megs should burn on a good blank with nero

if you can't network the computers then a 1 gig usb drive works great for this also

thanks chewy. i'll use the usb to save. I've always burned cd-r on musicmatch and thought 702mb was the max.

ah I just did a cdspeed overburn test and it went to 718MB or 81:45 with a verbatim prodisk

          maybe 714 is pushing it

            700 mb = 716,800 kb

714 mb = 731,136 kb. unless you read 714,000 in kb in which case it should fit

are short lead outs any good?

so it may not be compatible with all players/drives?

IIRC it was a big selling point for nero 6.6.x (or maybe 6.3.x, can't remember)
