    - media as good as + media??

I notice in pricing TY media that the - media is cheaper than the + media. Is there a reason for sticking with the + media?

    Thanks.

If your drive supports it +R is able to be booktyped to Dvd-ROM which is a commercial dvd's profile therefore it fools more standalones.

so if you need bitsetting and want good disks at the best price, buy verbatims on sale, but the tyg02's are the best disk for the price

BIG factor! While I haven't gotten into that yet, I'm going to tackle booktyping/bitsetting this weekend with my LiteOn. Really appreciate all the great info on this forum.

        Thanks.

Just a heads up on the liteOn for some odd reason when you shut down your PC and turn it on again the liteon bitsetting is back to default and you have to reset it again.I just turned on my PC here is what it looked like

            1.Back To Default

            2. Set Correctly

                  liteon tools?

my lg drive doesn't remember either but nero does and autobitsets once I first tell it too

LUK is probably implementing a similar procedure for ImgBurn

                        JM,

Thanks for the link!! Used the tool. It was almost too easy.

                        Chewy,

A quick question, if I may. Without ImageBurn having yet implemented a similar procedure, am I correct in concluding that I cannot use ImageBurn to burn the DVD Decrypter decrypted file if I wish the burned dvd to be DVD rom?

Used the LiteOn tool linked above. Just ripped and burned using ImgBurn Product is a DVD Rom. So, it worked.

                              Thanks again to all.
