Ripped and wont play on the TV's DVD player

Same media, same versions , the PC can play the DVD no problem, but when I put it on the TV's DVD player it plays the distrbuter's logo and music then goes back to the DVD player's welcome screen. The DVD player plays the original without a problem

This is what I noticed right away, DVD-R can't Book Type to DVD-ROM. Try DVD+R if you wish to Book Type, or change your nero setting.

That media isn't the greatest, and check those drives for firmware updates. Outdated firmware can cause problems on it's own.

might be about time to buy a new drive, could try the liteon crossflash

why would the burned disk play fine in the computer if the rip was stuffed

wonder if the standalone is going out also

Crappy burner. CRAP media. Bad settings

Had the same problem here with a toshiba stand alone, until I followed the advice of multiple forum members and upgraded burners, better media and changed to bitsett, now alllll is good!
