DVDD burns OK, fails to verify

This is a new one for me. The disc burns OK, but DVDD says it can't verify- perhaps a bad disc? Using Maxell 16X DVD-R.

Did the project again with another disc (same Maxell's RitekF1). It worked. I posted a Nero report on the appropriate board.

do a quality scan of the bad disk that didn't verify and see how bad it was

it probably wouldn't finish

I couldn't even get the scan to start, even though the movie (at least the first 10 minutes of it) played OK in the comp. I still pitched the disc.
