Help! Trouble burning dual layer DVD+R's

I just bought my first batch of dual layer dvd+r's, and I'm having trouble burning the image that I create. I've tried using ripit4me, and that makes the image of the dvd fine, but when it comes time to burning, it always messes up. I burn the image, and after dvd decrypter recycles the tray to verify it, it suddenly doesn't detect the disc anymore, and the computer doesn't recognize it as having any data on it. This has happened with 4 dvd's in a row, and so I don't think it's a problem wih the media. My drive is a Philips DVD+RW 8601. I tried using pgcedit as well, and it gives me an error when i first try to create the iso that it cannot find the first VMG sector. Anyone who could help me with either of these issues would be a god in my eyes. I just can't figure out the easiest way to burn a double layered dvd. Lemme know if you need any more info.

I think you are getting confused, RipIt4Me does not burn it rips to your hard drive.

                  How to post RipIt4Me.

ImgBurn's burn log should be in program files / ImgBurn / log. Copy & Paste in to reply post.

How big is this ISO & can I ask with the cost of DL's, why you are not shrinking it to fit on a single layer disc after getting rid of the stuff you don't want?

After removing all of the extra features, the movie is still too big to shrink down to a single layer without a significant loss in quality. I posted the DVD Decrypter and Ripit4me logs because I didn't know whether the problem might lie in those programs rather than the imgburn, and i wanted to be sure that THAT part at least was working and looked fine before I moved on to burning. In response to the last post, soup's guide isn't working, which is why i started this thread. The brand I have is Matrix.

Here's the ImgBurn log.....any suggestions? It went up to 100% and then gave me an error.

                              "Finalise Disc Failed"
                              "Device[1:1:0] Philips DVD+RW DVD 8601 6D11 (F (ATA)"
                              "Reason: Write Error"

then I clicked retry and it gave me the same thing except with
                              "Reason: Invalid field in CDB"

I have absolutely no idea whatsoever, any help would be great.
