Ahhhhh i downloaded the new firmware from the Dell site and it works now! Thanks guys....unless it gives me some significant advantage (I can just buy +R's rather than make myself have the capability to burn both) to cross flashing, I think I'll just leave it how it is for now, cuz all the guides seem too fragmented.
You said though that my dl dvd+r's (matrix brand) were bad.....does that mean that the actual QUALITY of the ones that DO work is going to be bad or just that I'm going to have a low success rate of actually burning the image? Thanks for all your help.
