Used the MDS to burn with IMgBurn 2.3 to Verbatim +R DL booktype to ROM. Movie plays fine till layer break and then pixilates off and on for 5 minutes in my Panasonic DVD player. The movie doesn't pixilate when played on my PC.

Did you verify the burn? Have you done a PIPO test?
Check the Golden Rules of Burning.

@Blu
I did verify and it says it was OK, firmware is up to date, burnt at 2.4X This is the 2nd DL disk burnt and first one worked perfectly. The ISO I used was made by DVDD (ISO READ) and I also made one with Fab by having it rip the full movie and then in step 2 make the ISO with FAB. The DVDD ISO was over 8GB's the FAB ISO was 7.3GB's Why a diff. in size the movie was the same.Comment

When you build your ISO with Imgburn let it choose the best layer break location and choose it.

Full DVD with FAB
with DVDD i just did the ISO read with help from another pgm. with fab I selected the full dvd not movie only. I wonder if the DVD had some interactive files to play on a PC. That way DVDD may have included them in the rip. sicne it was ISO rea and possibly FAB ignores these files if they are on the DVD. I may go back and look at the original. EDIT: I used the FAB DVD files to build ISO/MDS file with ImgBurn and select the LB but they were all average (grey) locations so I selected 50/50 with padding 1.Last edited by Art Vandelay; 4 Apr 2007, 08:38 AM.Comment
