I would definatly recommend a Lite-On. I have bought 3 DVD Burners/ Cd Burner Combo's from them and love them. Right now I am using the LiteScribe ones that I bought.

so the Benq still the best up to now plus I did not vote

BenQ are still the most preferred, but aren't available anymore....if a 1640, 1650 or 1655 can't be found anymore then I would go for the Litey. I haven't done any research on which ones are the strongest in the game as of yet.

I don't want people to misinterpret what I posted, LG's are very good burners,
they will do a decent job even with crap media, that's the problem.
