I've been using DVDInfo to do my CRC Read Error tests and it has always been a good indicator of error-free playbacks. I recently did a DL burn of In the Bedroom. DVDInfo reported zero errors, but the entire 1st chapter was terribly pixelated, going into the beginning of chapter 2. After that it played flawlessly. Does anyone know of another way to check newly burned disks for errors? I double checked my original disk and it didn't have any scratches, peanut butter or old staples stuck to it. Pretty darned embarrassing when that happens!

That is sometimes a result of cheap media. What brand are you using for your DL burning...Verbatim are the only ones I'd let near my burner.

All great diagnostics, but I'm at a loss..I burn at 2.4x, updated firmware in both d/l burners very recently....(hmm, I'm going to retry using the other burner, just for laughs)...ABSOLUTELY no labels...Learned that the hard way over a year ago..All ripping/burning is done on a dedicated PC with no other programs running. At one point I was burning and ripping simultaneously and even though each process completed successfully, my final products were adversely affected...Lotsa errors. BTW, I made light of it, but I cleaned my original disk with my handy Automax before starting. I'll get back with results from using my other burner...Comment

Have you done a PIPO scan (if your burner allows it). Do one, if possible and post a screenshopt of the DVD Info Pro scan.
If the disk is OK, it can only be your player after that.
