    nero or cd rom?

    ok, i hope someone can help me please. i dont know if its my dvd/cd burner or the nero programme but its refusing to burn everything, is becoming quite time consuming. i bought this laptop about a week ago and knew i would have to load burning software but its doing my head in i have read alot of the posts in here and some things dont seem to add up in my system? i dont know much about computers but when i look at the write speed in the nero tools thing it says na altough it is a dvd writer and theres no acpiec? showing? please if anyone can help am coming quite kafuddled.... i think i have copied a log file

    that's some off the wall chinese media listed in other nec drives as compatible media but not yours??


    laptop drives are very picky

      if it makes any sense i also tried to transfer some of my music over to disk on media player and that got halfway through then ejected?

          ?? i bought it off an asian girl? lol, i have no idea how to read the log file, i have looked up firmware but unless i actually know what im looking for its all greek but then i also wouldnt have a clue if it needs updated lol,

              since that's a later model laptop drive your firmware should be ok, just get some brand name blanks like verbatim or taiyo yuden and try to burn at 4x

              those blanks might work in a desktop computer?

              So far all I have heard about chinese and hong kong manufactured media has been bad

              made in japan is the best

              tawain somewhere in the middle
