Help needed to send DVD's back to UK

HI All,

I need your help.

I emigrated to Australia a year ago and want to send back home some DVD's
of the kids to their grandparents.

How do we do that I thought, I will buy an LG DVD recorder and download all
the video from my camera, burn a DVD and send it home.

Not so easy, I have tried and it burns the DVD but it wont play on any PC or DVD player but the one that burnt it, the LG DVD recorder.

Can anyone help me to sort this out as I now give up.

what brand of blanks are you using?

What program are you using to make the DVD and are they DVD compliant files?
