Problems burning DVD -R but not +R discs

I have been ripping using DVD FAB, DVD Shrink, and Nero with virtually no problem up until the last couple of weeks. I have been using some E-gear (target brand) -r DVDs with no problem until recently. the exact same spindal started coming up with the error BURN ERROR SENSE KEY: 0x05 KEY_ILLEGAL REQUEST) SENSE CODE 0X30 Ialso bought some imation -R dvd's which fail in the exact same point in burning, you can see that about a third of the disc is burnt until it fails. I can still burn my +R Memorex DVD's with no problem. Any Ideas? I would think it is the media but I burnt about 25 of the E-gead DVD's before they started failing with absolutely no problem. I have pasted the exact error code.

But why have the same dvds worked for the last couple of months and all of the sudden not anymore? Not disagreeing with you, just wondering if an easy explanation?

running into a bad set of disks on the spindle? why would cheap crappy disks be consistent as you assume, whole batches are bad, or maybe just 1 or 2 or 5-10 in a row, that's why they are bad disks

where's the first of the logs that show device map and drive firmware?

What is a good media for -r discs? I assume it is the media and I printed the log as it showed me. I am just confused as to why they used to work but not anymore? Is that pretty standard if you have bad media and look on the back of the disc it stops buring at the exact same point? Also would there be anything in Nero that would inhibit it from burning onto -r but you could still burn to +R? Thanks for the input I am still pretty new to this.
