    Memorex Media Any Good?

Best Buy is having a sale on a 25 pack of Memorex DVD+-R discs for $6.99. Is that a good quality media? I usually get the Sony DVDr's with AccuCore (Media ID Sony16D1 considered 1st class) and never have had a bad burn due to media.

If its good I will go pick some up. Thanks.

Memorex isn't the greatest IMO. If you buy from BB, FS or Staples watch for Verbatim on sale. 1st class media and easy to find at local retail stores.

You may want to read through this thread when you have time.

Below is a great site to learn about media and MID.

30 maxell for 12$ up here, still not bad if nothing else is on sale. Of course online there is always a sale, lol.

I'm waiting for the next Staples sale on 50pcs Verbatim, on my last spindle, uh oh.

prices keep falling on grade B media and grade A media seems to be getting
                worse every year

decent burns on 95QS 16 cents blanks

still haven't figured out how people have so many problems?

Speaking of the Maxell at Staples...any idea of the typical MID on those? The only time I bought them was almost 2 years ago and the burns are still great. (MAXELL 002)

the staples brand was a safer buy last week

maxell's in 16x could be anything

saw playo on a end cap

Thanks chewy, I figured as much.

Thinking back, I believe I bought them at Walmart. If the Maxell stock is anything like Sony (back in the MIJ times), the good stuff is long gone and it's all second rate or worse.

(I've heard a few good things about Staples brand recently, might be good for certain data/music backups. (Or the wife's chick flicks)
