Nero CD-DVD Speed scan

Playing around with Nero CD-DVD Speed, I got the following graph for a burn on a Verbatim MCC 03RG20 DVD.
Can anyone interpret this graph? Does it tell anything about the burn quality, or are other tests needed?

it suppose to be a straight line not like that

there's a couple of bad areas in the burn(where the heavy dips accumulate, the ones toward the end are aggrevated by the higher read speed

when a good reading drive shows dips it's not good

yours is trying to read a little fast

you need to compare some other mids the same way and see if it's a bad batch or maybe even your drive

here's a fuji 16x dvd+r burned at 8x in my newer benq 1650
this are really some of the worst disks I have had lately

the lg reads real slow, the benq fast but i still get a smooth graph

I've attached another scan of the exact same Verbatim disc (from post 1) on the same drive and it looks alot better now (although not quite as nice as Chewy's). The only difference was that this time I wasn't using my web browser while I was waiting for the scan to complete. So it would appear that the peaks seen in the first graph are artifacts caused by my processor loading web pages!? Will leave the computer alone next time when scanning lol.

You must have some heavyduty apps kicking in with your browsing, I was surfing the internet the whole time I did my 2 scans and had 2 web pages open at one time using a wireless usb adapter

The test was run on an old low-spec 1.4 GHz Celeron running Win XP. Most probably explains it.
(Each time I refresh a web page when running the scan, I can see a spike appear in the graph).

Since you didn't state your system specs and the problem has been shown to be related to multi-tasking/systems specs, not really sure your post adds anything to the thread...
