    Problem burning dvd with Nero

I have searched the forums and I can't find an answer to my problem. I have always used Nero to backup my dvds, but recently I ran low on hard drive space and purchased a new 200 gig hard drive. I have always had my backups rip to a folder named DVD OUTPUT FILES on my C: drive. So I created the same folder on my new E: drive and that's where I told the program to output them to.

Now when I try and burn the files with Nero, I instantly get an error message that says CANNOT START DISC AT ONCE.

Here is the output text of the log file:

at first glance it's looks like there are several problems

first is the 2.4 burn speed, that's for dvd+r's, and you are using dvd-r's

please post the end of the log you omitted

the 2.58 should solve the burn speed problem

Oldish drive with crap media...get rid of the Memorex and try some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

      Burn process started at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s)
Make sure you put the disc in the drive and allow the disc to be recognized before selecting a burn speed...and make changes as suggested by chewy
