Pioneer DVD 111D Cant see blank DVD/CDS

I run Windows XP and have a Pioneer DVD 111D and if I insert a blank DVD or CD i get a D:\ is not accessible error

    I have tried the following:

    1) Right clicked on the drive- and there is no recording tab -
    2) I have installed the latest firm ware - DIDNT HELP
    3) Uninstalled the device (via device manager) and rebooted - DIDNT HELP

    Any suggestions???

      Hi Listento,

Did you just buy this Pioneer and installed it? Or you had it for awhile and this situation just started happening?

Had it a while before it started happening. I've installed DivX since, a few other DVD playing drivers, powerDVD, quicktime and realplayer.

This is really frustrating because I want to back up my files!

ImgBurn guides. In ImgBurn you browse to the file.

packet writting software is "pure evil" according to the author of Imgburn,
wanting something does not make it work

                  Beware of dragging and dropping

A seemingly simple process can actually be more of a headache than it appears.

I'm a musician and want to burn my music onto CD, which software would you suggest. My tracks are in .wav and mp3 format
