    Error burning with Nero

Please bare with me...here is the error I am getting when trying to burn using Nero Burning ROM and HP DVD+R double layer discs. Can someone help me sort this out. I'm getting truly frustrated. Thanks.

I'm aware of this...how do I free up memory, I don't have any other programs running when I'm burning.

see the stickies in general computing

that 4465MB would have fit on a single layer

let's update your firmware to 2.0A

and forget about dual layer till you get these fixed

Okay, I've tried to update my firmware before but I get nervous doing so, I don't want to ruin my DVD drive. How do I do this properly?

Oh, I also want to know if it's possible to burn two movies on this disc. I'm trying to learn how to do all this but there's so many options with Nero express and ROM - I don't know where to start, but that's another subject entirely.

bottom line is it's obsolete compared to new dvd burners

see the sticky on safe mode general computing for updating firmware

those hp disks are terrible, I wouldn't even attempt burning them with that old a dvd burner
