Illegal Disc Problems, DMA is turned on, help!

hi there, i am only going to post the most recent log as the problems are pretty much the same. These are Memorex DVD +R discs that have never given me a problem, but the last 6-7 discs that I have burned just don't burn. I checked some other threads and DMA has been enabled. I tried to update the firmware for my DVD drive as well as update the Nero Software but that didn't do anything either. Please help!

I guess this is a pretty old drive?
You mentioned that you updated the firmware, but it would seem that there is a newer vers. avail. than what that burn log shows.

EDIT: My bad! From Toshiba's site, seems you are using the latest firmware, dated 10/4/05. Maybe time for a new burner?

well, you don't know the half of it. the loser that built my machine didn't give me dvd player software, so around a month and a half ago it decided to stop reading DVDs. i ended up having to dl trial software before i got that functionality back as i had no OEM or any dvd player cd at all. i seriously think it was built with leftover parts, but i am never buying a toshiba product again.

i bought a new pack of dvds and it seemed happy , so i think it's fixed? i'll know when i attempt to burn again if that solved it or not. i'm thinking though my next burner is going to be LG brand, i have one of their CD burners that's probably 5 years old and it's still ticking.
