Hello, this issue is really frustrating me...
I have a settop DVD recorder that I use frequently to tape shows and stuff.
They were showing something at 2AM that I wanted, and it happened to be two hours long. Since it was important to me, I thought I'd use a DVD+R DL (which the recorder supports) instead of a normal one, so I can still use the HQ setting.
However, that day, the settop was unable to play the thing it had recorded. I finalized it, and it wouldn't play in any DVD player or in the computer.
My theory is that since it was one huge long recording, the settop didn't properly create a layer break, and thus, the disc can't be read.
Is there some way to make the computer read it with a generic layer break position? I really hate to lose the thing I recorded, and it's also wasting a disc. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!
