Recommendations on a burner?

My Lite On is not doing the job, so I need a new burner. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest SONY SATA version. Great burner, and burns DL media flawlessly.

LITE ON is one of the best out there. Did you check the Firmware? Did you try to upgrade it?

The Lite On firmware is fine. The Sony SATA would be a possibility if I could use a SATA burner, but, as I noted, I need a PATA burner...

Chewey, I don't burn any double layers. Do you have a model number on the Samsung?
