Region Code error

Greetings,

Seems like I may have messed something up - I am praying for help.

I keep getting a pop up window that my DVD Recorder is set to "region 4" which does not recognise the software I am running which should be reading both region 1 on the media I am working with, as well as region 1 on my DVD burner.

I have an HP 740 burner.

I was recently working on a region 4 DVD from austrailia, that would not playon my system. I tried to work around the issue with DVD CSS+ region free, and sadly I may have messed up my hardwars settings? which of course I have no cluse about.

Any clues out there please?

right click on the drive in device manager

go to the region tab

reset for region 1

you only get 4 changes

buy a drive that can be set region free

Sad that - reset the burner back to your region as Chewys has said. Then DVD Region Free Lite should do the trick for you.
