Thanks Night the second post tells me it's $hit even when working I'll try and flash I'm still not good at the whole thing I've flashed my lite-on with there (lite-ons) firmware but,it's much easier.For the bin flash the only program I need is Winzip is that correct?

I am sure you can down load win zip free and use for thirty days or something like that, read the first one I think it will help you fix it

Ok after reading that post I'm totally lost,not even sure if I'll atempt it.I'll let you know thanks for the help guys.I've tried the bin flash thing a few times on other drives to no avail so I'm skeptical at my abilities.Is it easy and I'm just incompetent or what?

you tell me, I never have nec 4570A so you are on your own, if you dont think you can't do it I rather return and get diff one. the preview also say it is not very good burner at all

I were more Nob then you when I flash my Benq way ago, I dont think I can't even think of build my own comp

Ok I was wrong it's the 4570A and I have winzip installed it is the stand alone master it's the only drive in the cpu

Well I'm gonna dl from my new pc cause I have no internet upstairs on P4 and take files up on flash drive I don't feel confident but,I wanna learn so I'll give it a go it doesn't work now at all so it's nothing to lose

Hey Chewy I got it all writen down but I need to ask simple ?to flash it says enter necflash-flash newfirmware.bin (device id)then it says to replace newfirmware.bin with the firmware i want to flash does that mean i type necflash-flash (firmware #)(device id)

Well I'm in safe mode and everytime I try to open necflash it just flashes for a second it looks like dos and when i type necflash-scan it says can't find it?

I've followed it to the tee and now I know why I haven't been successful it doesn't work for me

I unpacked the necflash exe to desktop but when I click on it it flashes by in seconds and i tried everything typing exactly c:\>necflash-scan in the run box nothing i extracted to c drive and did it nothing
