Quality DVD blanks; Where can I buy them?

Ok guys. Read the threads on the quality discs and also Blu's latest update on mid codes etc.. According to the thread and posts there's no way of knowing the mid codes unless you put the blank in a proggie like Imgburn. So where do you guys go now to get those verbatims and tys that aren't made in tawain or hong kong like Blu suggested was the worst place they make them?

Out of blanks right now and went by best-buy, staples and office-max but even the verbs there were made in taiwan. Sony's been Ok but made in taiwan also. The Maxell's I started out w/are also from there. Thnx.
    SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

verbatim sl's made in tawain are prefered over made in India(but barely)

you won't find verbatim made in japan here stateside, some maybe in europe

bad week for media sales, if you have to have some office depot has the ativa's they will be cmc mag's, hopefully better than HP or magnavox

Ativa's? These pretty decent? I never used them and don't remember them on Blu's update. Isn't cmc mag's 1 of the badly recommended mids?

Btw you're right. No sales whatsoever. As far as Hp forget it. Had my run w/them. Gigo.

I won't pay 50-60 cents a disk, some of my verbatims haven't been that good, the maxell's for 20 cents last week were decent.

these make a nice insurance policy for bad weeks, I used them to reburn a lot of disks

Can't go wrong for the 200 at that price. Yeh I've been snatching the maxell for a while there. Newegg had them last for $25 for 100. These tys are state side, or mij?

I don't have a printer. Can I just write the discount code in like in newegg? Thnx.

Hi Tran. How you can tell they're B+? It don't say their code in the super store. I thought that dvd part# was the mid code but it's not. Also how you can tell from Tyo2 and Tyo1?

it would be very hard to find TY01, I try to get them for the last 5 years. B= verse A just from my scanning experience I grade on my own base on the resulte, I have about 600 of them left and over thousand of sony TY 02. You can ask Soup for his opition since he have so many scans

Are these Tys mij or like you said it's hard to get them now? I've been leary about getting the dvd+rs for that same reason. I know Ed mentioned they're faster. I have a magnavox player that plays just about anything. Also have to make sure my sammys can burn these both links you suggested. I have the pioneer 112d as back-up anyway. Has 2 be good for something.

All TY's are made in japan

and tyg02 and yuden t02 are the standby mid code on any decent newer burner

Supermedia says the coupon expires 4-6-08. that's now. are they on different time zone?
If so the dvd-rs would be my best bet. I'm trying to save for this hd revoultion. Might need to build a whole new set-up if I can't install a hi-def video card which probably won't make sense on this dell. Not to mention a hi-def burner.

Ok. Thought verbs were tied in w/them. You experience those Ativas at all? Even on a quick fix? If they're worse than those hps and princos forget about it. If close to the sonys and maxells in tawain I could live w/it for now. Thnx.
