re: backing up movies I own

I have the complet set of the Star Trek animated series (every epasode) that I am backing up because it getting hard to find this set agen if the originals get scrached. I am using the programs Anydvd and CloneDvd to make my copys. I have 1 problem. The copys will play just fine in any stand alone dvd player except my Magnavox MWR20V6 combo DVD/VHS player/recorder machine. This machine is about a year and a half old. It plays other dvd movie backups, stuff I have recorded off the internet and burned to dvd and direct dvd records off cable tv to dvd just fine. The problem I can't figure out is everything on the backup Star Track dvd I make (start up, and menus) works fine on the Magnavox. But the tv epasodes and the previews will not play. I try to play an epasode and after a minute of blank screen it dumps back to the menu. The same dvd plays just fine in 2 other brands of stand alone dvd players. Why is this problem happing with the Magnavox machine and how do I fix it?

Please eliminate from your questions, any mention of ripping tools. If you suspect an issue with media and/or burning, post a burn log. In the meantime, read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.
