These TYs should be A-OK ... their Manufacturer P/N is correct.

I am thinking since SMS has been such a big supplier they are cutting a deal with TY Distributor to get their name put on the Label.

Thnx for confirming that those ty's by linkyo are authentic and top quality. With those prices you can't go wrong unless it's crappy media. ie. hp dvd blanks. what a joke. lol...

retailers like supermedia would not sell fake TY mit for a few cents more than unbranded bulk packed TY

they have built a business and reputation on quality and quantity

That definitely makes sense and they have been on the $$$ ever since I got w/them. Could only burn so much at a time though, but occasionally I stock up myself cause the day comes and I'm burning like crazy, and slowly but surely my supply starts dwindling. Better to have and not need them then to need them and not have.

Oh there's no confusion, I know exactly what they are, but that is the MID that is on them.

I bought some cheap yuden T02's, made in hong kong, after they burned terribly I investigated the parent company that made them, they claimed to buy their dye from TY in japan and the stampers from japan also. They liscensed the mid thru phillips.

whatever they were trying, it didn't work

if you see ty mids made in china, they will be fake, the others might be clones

TY does not have any quality control subbing out like verbatim
