    Bad Batch of TYs

I just drop off a bad batch of TY02s printables at Supermedia Store. These were -R 8xs, I had 200 of them. Their going to send me a replacement tomorrow.

Using these same disk I would get scans with Nero CD-DVD Speed anywhere from below 100 to 400 PIF total errors. With this batch I was getting errors of as high as 5500.

I was wondering if anyone else ever had a problem like this with Taiyo Yuden 02s. Thanks

@Chewy, I put the hub number into google and it came up blank. Are you suppose to us all 14 digits?

I bought a 50 pack of TYs this month. The first several burned with no problems, but now I'm running into a problem discs. About 8 of them in the last week.
Needless to say after so much praise for them, I'm disappointed that I got what's appearing to be a bad batch. I've used too many to send back for replacement.

^^ When I flipped the disc over, I couldn't see the inner hub code. Holding one at a steep angle, with an even brighter light-the sun through a window I can now see it..

GG007069 (this is a different disc from the one above, and I did say it was in reverse. )

I had to go outside in direct sun to see it the first time, at least you know it's authentic TY

Remember guys TY built a new factory so they could ramp prouction a few years back

Westly, you didn't happen to buy them at SuperMediaStore did you? If so, they let me return even the ones that I had already burned.

That's a great return policy. No, I got mine from www.genesysdtp.com.
And it may not have been the discs fault, if you'll note my thread titled 'Strange PC Burning Problem'. I'll know more as I burn a couple more later in the week.

TY dvd's should only be bought from SMS or RIMA ... I don't even bother with Meritline (not chancing it with them).

I only buy TY's forget about Linko (SMS brand TY) or anyone else's ...
