    Panasonic DMR-E500H

What am I doing wrong? I dub films to disc on my Panasonic and they play on stand alone DVD players, My PC and my Laptop, yet when I dub a series to one disc it will not play on my PC yet is fine on the laptop and DVD player. I have tried using Media Player, Real Player and Power DVD.
I guess I am missing something somewhere.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

    Panasonic

Further to my post, I checked the disc with Nero on my laptop, all was fine, I then checked the disc with Nero on my PC, it would not spin up and I got the message:" error Initializing test " ergo no test, I guess it's something to do with the PC, But what?
    Cheers

I wouldn't think that dubbing a film or a series would be different, the DVD recorder shouldn't really care what's being recorded to the disc. Did you finalize the disc before trying to use it on your PC?

The reason it doesn't sound like a finalization problem is that you say it works in your standalone DVD player and laptop, but not your PC. The disc shouldn't work in your standalone DVD player if it wasn't finalized (unless the DVD player is a Panasonic also?). And if it works on your laptop, it should work on your PC.

So it could be an issue with your PC's DVD drive, not being able to read a particular type/brand of disc.
