Nero Burning Rom 6.6.1.4 Failures At 98%

I am having failures with Nero Burning ROM 6.6.1.4 used with Windows XP Professional on Intel Dual 2.6GHz with 1.5GB memory.
I have 2 burners, LG GSA 4160B and Lite-On SOHW 16735, both are having failures.
I use DVD+R disks as I can book change with the Lite-On burner.
I have attached one of the burn failure reports and would appreciate if somebody could advise where the problem is.

    Who manufactured the disks.

BTW I asked the disk manufacturer while the log was still pending approval.

Are you burning source code by any chance? Or is that stuff about filename.cpp just diagnostics? I've found when I try to burn a tree of small files with hundreds of little folders, like source code, the software buffer will pull down until empty and I'll get coasters. If you are trying to burn a tree of hundreds of files, try creating an .iso file first, then burn the .iso.

Works for me. If that's not it then I suspect cheapy memorex discs (the cmc mag stuff)

I thank you both for the reply.
The disks being used are CMC Mag, I have been using for some time without a problem.
There were only a few video files, not many small ones.
From the burn report provided, does it show what the problem is.

When you say "failure" what happens? Does it give an error message not finalize or just make a coaster? All I can say at this point is try making an image file first. Then burn the image. If it won't do that then something is weird.

Also I notice you have "determine maximum speed" or whatever set to False. Try True.

btw, sorry I keep thinking Imgburn since I've been using that for quite a while now. I used to use Nero Ultimate 6.6.x.x and I noticed that any time I put a blank disc in, and didn't wait for the drive led to quit before bringing up Nero, if it didn't like something about the disc, it would hang and I'd have to run the Nero removal tool, then reinstall.

I got tired of that pretty fast. Now I use Imgburn. All the conversions you can do with Nero you can do better with free tools. I would switch to Imgburn. Most on this board have moved on.

Also anytime you are using Nero, if you have InCD installed, that's the cause of the problem 98.756% of the time(I get my stats where politicians do.. from where the sun don't shine.) But it does really stink. Best to chalk it up to experience and download Imgburn for free.

Like Miles said ... anytime installing Nero ALWAYS opt out of installing InCD ... it is a BAD news ... it crashes Other programs also ... nothing but headaches!
