How can I fit 150-170 songs on a cd???

Hey guys:

I figure I should be able to fit about this many songs on a cd so I can play them in my car cd player. However, when I try to burn them with WMP or other software types, I can only get about 15-18 mp3's on there. I don't think these programs are filling the cd's. Is there a way to make an audio cd that will handle a hundred or more songs?? If not, why??

Use Imgburn or CDBurnerXP to create a Data Disc. The other programs sound like they are converting to standard CD audio, then burning.

If your car CD player can play .wma audio files you can fit even more on by using .wma at 192 kbit instead of .mp3 at 320. (The old AudioGrabber program still works fine. Just search and you'll get the link. Or you can use another converter.)

Thanks Miles!! I use Imgburn all the time so I will be good to go with that. And yes, the car player can play wma files also. So that will also be fun for testing. Will most car cd players play a data disk as apposed to an audio disk??

It's been a few years since I purchased a car CD player. You should ask someone with more recent experience.
