    PowerDVD 4 and Hardware acceleration problem

    Hi,

    I've got a strange problem. Since I've installed the latest Catalyst Driver for my Radeon 8500, when I enable the hardware acceleration under PowerDVD, I can't see any subtitle...
    If anyone has an idea...

      Shouldnt you be using the ATI player?

          When I use ATI DVD player I saw the subtitle with a layer... In fact I could see how the subtitle was implemented in tha DVD... For ceratin it was a box for other it's an entire layer... so not very good looking....

              It is reportedly a known bug with the ATI drivers, which the company has never resolved. I have exactly the same problem.

              p.s. You mean you have been able to get subtitles with Hardware Acceleration enabled, with a previous driver release? If so, which version is that?

                  Yes indeed I could get the subtitles with this version :
                  wxp-radeon-6-13-10-6043-efg

                  In fact I just solved my problem with the latest patch for PowerDVD4 XP, the file is : Patch.1811.exe and now I could get my sub under PowerDVD with Hardware Acceleration on
