DirectDVD & Closed Captions
I have the full version of DirectDVD 4.4 and a little problem with the closed captions. I have "Frank Herbert's Dune" (mini series - Region 1) and it has no subtitles, only English captions. I enable the "line 21" checkbox in the options, but the problem is always there. The closed captions in the popup menu is always in grey (not available).
I repeat that I have the full version, so all the features should be enabled. It says something in the help file about some menu functions working only for "Application Developer", or something like that. Does anyone have any idea about what is going on? Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem with the player.
The captions in this DVD title work in other players (Cinemaster, PowerDVD...), but Cinemaster does not run on XP, and PowerDVD has a problem refreshing captions, that is why I want to try Direct DVD. Please, a little help here!
