DVD Movies cause blue screens!

I have a problem playing DVD Movies...
whenever I insert a movie and start DVD software and press the play button the well known windows blue error screen pops-up...
something with VXD and a lot of numbers and stuff...
It happens with all the software I tried(PowerDVD, SoftDVD, NVDVD and a few other well known applications).

I installed WinDVD and I got 1 movie to work(gone in 60 seconds)
but other movies still don't seem to work.. although WinDVD doesn't give me blue screens but it does make the pc hang...
(it could be possible that some other movies work too.. but since I don't own a lot of DVD's I don't know)

Can somebody please help me to solve the problem...

192MB Memory
32 MB NVida TNT2 Videocard
15 Gb Quantum HD
LG DVD-ROM 8160b
Creative Soundblaster 128PCI
