Haven't anyone had problems like this before? Benq says (in very bad english) that they have recieved reports that the drave has been damaged when flashed with their firmware. The go on with just advising me to give up if it didn't work the first time.
Anyone got any ideas?

My problem is this:
When I try flashing my dvd drive with the lastes firmware, 1.22, form benq(acer) I get this error:
HEX & ROM mismatch error
HEX = unknown CPU type
ROM = Hitatchi H8_3062A
The error also occurs when I try flashing the drive with pioneer 115, 1.22 RPC-1.
I have scanned trough the archives and I have found some people with the same problem, but nowhere where the problem is solved.
Anyone got any ideas?
