    Hi hi I'm just curious ... I pretty much know what interlaced video is, but what does progressive mean? Does it just mean that, if a video is not interlaced then it's automatically progressive? Also why do some DVDs constantly switch formats between interlaced/progressive? And what is FILM? Why is there always a % of FILM and % Interlaced? Wakaranai ...

    As far as I know, those (interlaced and progressive) the only two possibilities.

    "Film" is typically recorded at 23.976 fps rather than 24 (NTSC) or 29.97 rather than 30 (NTSC), or 25 (PAL).
