    NVidia GeForce256/WinDVD

I bought a Creative GeForce256 Annihilator a while ago now, but have never watched DVD's on my PC as I have preferred to watch them on my television. But I recently decided it'd be fun to try them out on my PC, so I installed the DVD Player that came with the card (WinDVD 1.28) to play movies. Now, because this product came with the card, I presumed that DVD playback would be "in-tune" between the program and card and so I would get decent playback. But the playback is crap, the audio is jumpy and the picture isn't smooth whatsoever. I've tried various settings in DVD Genie (including Hardware Compensation), some have alleviated the problem but not by much; so was it pointless sending me WinDVD with a GeForce256 card, or is there a way to make it look decent?

    1) If it's an available option, turn on the DMA for your DVD driver.

    2) WinDVD is now up to v.3.0

    3) Now that you've got the WinDVD DVD-required drivers installed, if you've got Win 98 or later OS, the installation disk includes a handy-dandy lightweight DVD player.
