    Problems...help!

    Help!
For the second time (the first time it was with a Playstation 2), I have this problem: My television is a panasonic with a built-in VCR. When I attach a DVD player (the TV only has spots for the yellow and white connectors to attach, no spot for the red), the movies will play, but the picture fades to dark then to really light, making movies virtually impossible to watch. Panasonic says it is part of the copyright control on the dvd's and that there is nothing that can be done about it, however, I have heard that there is a way to bypass this problem. Any ideas? Am I doomed to be DVD-less until I trash the television???
Thanks for any help you can give!
PS- an interesting aside: all dvd's have done this fade in and out thing except one: Dog Day Afternoon, and I have no idea why, but this one shows up just fine...

The "fade-in, fade-out" you've described is the result of Macrovision protection. To find out if there is a "fix" for your particualr brand of standalone DVD player, go to:

Video forums, video software downloads, guides, blu-ray players and media.
